The Three Princes Plot [1] was a scheme by the Three Princes. They assigned Kushana the Periphery Campaign under the belief it would enrage her enough that she would return to the capital in rebellion, thereby allowing them to execute her.
This plot was admitted by Kurotowa [2] when he defects to Kushana's faction, after realizing that he won't survive even if he follows the orders. After some prodding, Kurotowa reveals the plot originally came from Kushana's father, the Vai Emperor.
