The Forest People wear protective suits [1] made from the skins of insects.

The suits are made from an unidentified insect carapace and covers the whole body. Whether it is made from one carapace or multiple types is unknown. The suits are probably made from the molted carapace of insects, as that would be consistent with the Forest People philosophy about living in a symbiotic relationship with insects.

The suits appear bulky but the Forest People do not seem to be unduly encumbered by them. The helmet has a breathing tube that looks very similar to a scuba mask and acts much like a Shohki Mask.

Ceraine, one of the Forest People, uses glands from the Tobimushi to sent her mask.

The suits protect them from the dangers of the Miasma of the Sea of Corruption as well as acting as armor/protection from other dangers.
