Mehve is Nausicaä's glider.
The glider has a built-in engine, which provides an engine-assisted take-off[1] and boosts in flight. The glider's wings fold up.[2]
It has weapon sheaths[3] for a Ohmu shell sword and Nausicaa's Rifle right next to the operator controls.
